Walk to School Month

Taylor Wimpey, the leading housebuilder is supporting Walk to School Month, which takes place every October and asks parents to walk their children to school – with the aim of promoting healthier lifestyles and reducing the number of cars on the road. To help keep youngsters safe on the way, especially in the darker autumn and winter months, they have supplied us with  210 high-visibility snap bands for our pupils to wear. The donation is part of a campaign that will see more than 13,000 snap bands provided to children across the country.

Missio

Congratulations to our pupils for raising £134.66 for Missio at the end of the summer term. Mrs Redmond presented a cheque at assembly to Mr Ken Martenstyn, Principal Grand Knight of Columba (Province 12). Missio is the chosen charity that is currently being supported by the Knights of St. Columba and indeed Pope Francis, project leader and Apostolic Administrator.
