As you are aware, we recently asked for nominations for the role of parent governor. We have been very fortunate in receiving more nominations than vacancies; consequently, a ballot will be held. Please find candidates’ statements below. You should, by now, have received your voting papers. Please contact the office if you have not received your ballot paper.
Each parent is entitled to vote. Each parent should only have one ballot paper (regardless of the number of children that they have in school). As we have two vacancies, each parent is entitled to two votes (but only one vote can be used per candidate). Each ballot paper has a unique number to avoid duplication of votes.
Please note: ballot papers should not be signed or the voter identified in any way.
Voting papers should be returned to school, either by post or by hand. A ballot box has been placed by the school office. The closing date for receipt of ballot papers is Friday 5th January at 5.00pm.
All parents will be notified of the results by Friday 12th January.
Kind regards,
Mr P Campbell (Chair of Governors) and Ms C Thacker (Headteacher)
Mission Statement:
As a Roman Catholic school, we create an atmosphere in which children can grow into the fullness of their faith. We develop their understanding of, and respect for, people of all faiths and cultures. We value parents as children’s first teachers. We aim to educate our pupils in every way so that they are friendly, spiritual and caring individuals who enjoy learning and achieve their potential in all areas. We provide a welcoming, safe environment in which children learn to speak and behave properly and to care for and comfort others. We encourage the children to carry these lessons with them into their everyday lives whilst they are at our school and when they move on.
Governors’ Vision:
The school community work together to achieve excellence; all are valued, resilient and confident; have no limits placed upon them and grow as individuals in God's love
